Happy Mother's Day!

To all the mums out there, I hope you are having a wonderful day and being spoiled rotten, with breakfast in bed, pressies and of  course lots of gorgeous cards, and here's a card from me to you too.

I used the Property of interactive Kit from the Clipart fairy to make an A5 landscape card.

I added my own wording to the card topper and used the decoupage parts that come in the kit on the girl

The flowers were made by printing some of the papers from the kit onto pearl paper and then using my CREAlies CL CF05 to cut out the shapes. I then shaped them and layered them up finishing off with a pearl in the middle, the leaves are also a CREAlies CL CS 11.  The pretty butterfly is made from two Memory box dies, the background one was cut out of glittery sticky backed paper I picked up at HobbyCraft a while ago, the filigree layer was cut from pearl paper, I used more pearls from MeiFlower for the butterflies body.

I was also planning on doing this second card as a Mothers Day card too, I thought it would be a nice card for a mum from her son and there is an editable page in both the RTP and interactive versions so that you can add your own wording, but in the end I decided to keep it as  a birthday card, I just added an extra frill and layers

I used the Kick Frill Balloon boy Ready to print kit, but printed the main card front twice, cut the frill from the bottom and added it underneath the other parts that came with the kit, I also cut out the circle frame and balloon and the boys head from the centre of it and layered them up on the card front, plus some of the extra balloon decoupage that comes in the kit. I used gold glitter around the frills and the card front then a piece of Grosgrain ribbon across the front. I used yellow cord to tie some tiny buttons around the Grosgrain at evenly spaced intervals. I also covered the balloon string with the same cord.
